My name is Prajal Prasai, and I am a photographer and visual storyteller based in Kathmandu, Nepal. My work is defined by a journey between two worlds: the academic landscape of the United States and the rich, spiritual heritage of the Kathmandu Valley. This dual perspective allows me to approach every project with both technical precision and deep cultural empathy. For over a decade, I have practiced photography as the art of subtraction, removing the noise until only the soul of the subject remains.

My commitment to this standard of visual purity has earned numerous accolades, including multiple First Place awards from the Associated Press and the College Media Association for news, sports, and feature photography. A veteran of award-winning student media and the South Eastern Journalism Conference, I now apply this high-fidelity, journalistic rigor to boutique creative direction. Whether documenting local heritage or executing a high-end commercial campaign, I focus on the technical mastery and tenacity required to capture a subject’s true heartbeat.
